ads.txt Setup Guide

This guide explains how to set up your ads.txt file for Missena integration.

What is ads.txt?

Ads.txt (Authorized Digital Sellers) is an IAB initiative that helps ensure transparency in programmatic advertising by allowing publishers to declare who is authorized to sell their digital inventory.

Getting Your Missena ads.txt Entries

  1. Visit the Missena Publishers Portal using your API key:

    https://publishers.missena.io/?t=PA-XXXXXXXX

Replace PA-XXXXXXXX with your Missena API key.

  2. The portal will generate the required ads.txt entries specific to your account.

Implementation Steps

  1. Access your website's root domain directory
  2. Locate or create an ads.txt file
  3. Add the Missena-provided entries to your ads.txt file
    • If you already have an ads.txt file, append the new entries
    • If you don't have an ads.txt file, create one with the provided entries

Verification

After implementing the ads.txt entries:

  1. Confirm that your ads.txt file is accessible at yourdomain.com/ads.txt
  2. Notify your Missena account manager that you've completed the implementation
  3. The Missena team will verify your setup and update their internal tracking

Important Notes

  • The ads.txt file must be placed at the root domain level
  • Entries are case-sensitive
  • Keep your ads.txt file up to date with any changes provided by Missena
  • Incorrect implementation may affect your advertising revenue
